Christelle Beauvallet Ward

From Paris to Galway.

Originally from Paris, back in 1992, I studied tourism there and graduated as a French national tour guide. While working in Paris, Normandy, the Champagne or the Loire Valley in French, English and German , I kept on studying Arts History in the Louvre museum and eventually became a lecturer as well… After years of wonderful experiences: from leading groups to Brazil or South Africa to travelling around Australia. From working with incentive groups of up to 5000 people to guiding private tours. From lecturing in various museums to corporates, individuals, groups of retired people or school groups to recording a TV programme or translating for fashion shows… I had a great time but one thing was missing! I was still searching for home…

… Until I came to Ireland for a long weekend back in 2000. 15 years later: I’m still here!

The people, the landscapes, the history, the music, the language… or simply the light (I have a great interest in photography), there are endless reasons to fall in love with this beautiful part of the world… So it became evident: I had to learn more about it and the more I learnt, the more I loved it… I ended up becoming a national tour guide here in 2005. I then built up my experience by guiding groups of any size all around the Island for the past few years and now I am savouring every minute of my very own dream: Best job in the world in one of the most amazing location.

I wouldn’t exchange my place for any other but I don’t mind sharing…

I work in French and English.
