Ekaterina Moskovskova

 I am a National Tour Guide based in Connemara, Ireland, available for multi-day and bus tours, and I work with groups in both English and Russian. I am the author of the book “Irish Culture of Death”, published in Russia in 2025, which explores Irish traditions, folklore, and cultural views on death. I work as a guide at Kylemore Abbey, sharing stories about Connemara’s history, the Henry family, and the Benedictine community. I bring Irish culture to life through music and set dancing. I am also the creator of the largest Russian-speaking Telegram channel about Ireland, where I write about culture, travel, history, and modern life.

I studied folklore at Moscow State University, completed an internship at the School of Celtic Studies, Trinity College Dublin, and later trained as an astronomy teacher, which led me to combine heritage tours with night-sky experiences. I give talks for Irish astronomy clubs, have presented at the Mayo Dark Sky Festival and for Astronomy.ie. I am a member of Connemara Astronomy Club and Connemara Dark Skies group, an astrophotographer and aurora hunter, running special astronomy tours in the Connemara Dark Sky Reserve in spring and autumn. One of my smartphone astrophotographs was shortlisted for the DIAS “Reach for the Stars” competition and is now exhibited in Dublin.
