Hello my name is Arthur McGuire, and I am a lifelong native of the historic Claddagh area of Galway and a fully accredited regional tour guide for Galway City and its environs. I am also licensed by the Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland (ATGI).
Prior to earning my tour guide credentials, I owned and operated a landmark Galway store for over 50 years. I retired from that business in August 2022 to focus full-time on tour guiding.
I offer curated, small-group walking tours through the heart of medieval Galway City, detailing the City’s fascinating history from the year 1230 to present! I also specialise in tours of Galway’s West End – a vibrant and fascinating part of the city which includes the historical Claddagh fishing village, as well as many of Galway’s leading places to eat and socialise.
