Derek is a fully Accredited Failte Ireland Tour Guide and SPSV licenced limousine driver. He was been offering guided tours since 2012 when he graduated with a BA (1st Class Honours) Degree in History and Heritage Studies before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, achieving a distinction in his Level 9 Postgraduate Degree. Derek has full, public liability insurance and is a former Chairman of the Galway Tour Guides Association. He is currently a member of Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland and lives in Galway City, by the sea.
