I live in the Medieval town of Athenry and was born in ‘Oyster Country’, Clarinbridge. I am passionate about Tour Guiding and would love to show you around our beautiful vibrant medieval city. I have interests in Irish history; local & national, Archaeology, Pilgrimage Tours, Irish Architecture, Culture & Literature and Walking Tours and would love to share those interests with you.

I like to emphasise the links with various countries that Galway has, through its medieval trade,this creates a personal experience by showing the connections Galway has to each nationality I guide. I can tailor a tour to suit yourspecified requirements.

I am a former secondary school teacher of History and French with 30 years teaching experience and I am Admin for a local history website www.athenryparishheritage.com. I have worked in the past on the digitisation of parish records and I am very interested in genealogy as a result.

I qualified as a tour guide in 2020 and have guiding experience with RTE and TG4, doing an episode of Nationwide for RTE in February 2024 and a tour of Kilconnell Franciscan Friary for the Sloinne Series on TG4 in March 2023.
