I have been living and working in Galway City for over 30 years. I am a qualified Fáilte Ireland Tour Guide with hillwalking and local history as my specialties. I hold a Diploma in Archaeology from NUI,G. I am an approved trainer / walk leader with the Irish Heart Foundation. I am an avid walker.

I lead leisurely walks to all places in Connemara from the low level walks to the heights of the famous 12 Bens. In the Burren I can show you its many spectacular areas and plants, like the Cliffs of Moher and the vivid Blue Gentians. All the Aran Islands are worthy of a visit and I can show you the tourist sights but also their hidden secret areas. A visit to Ireland’s largest island, Achill can also be arranged where you can walk through the famous “Deserted Village”.

I can take you on a leisurely walk around Galway City that will bring you back a thousand years into the past so you can get an understanding of our City. Tell you about the great characters that have made Galway famous or infamous. I will show you how our City has changed over the years but has still retained its charm and character to make it one of Ireland’s greatest places.
