Hi, I’m Marteen Lane, and I’m a Galway-based regional tour guide from Co. Mayo with a BA (Hons) in Heritage Studies. I have a passion for Galway’s cultural heritage, and I want to share that passion with you.
I offer three unique walking tours that aim to showcase Galway City from different perspectives. HerGalway Walking Tour tells the stories of remarkable women from all walks of life associated with Galway. Medieval Galway Tour transports the visitor back to mediaeval Galway, where they can still see the remnants of that period in history around the city. Galway Dark Tour exposes the visitor to the murky world of murders, executions, and death, sharing with them Galway’s dark past. My walking tours can also be tweaked to cater to the group’s interests.
I can also act as a hop-on guide for bus tours and guide groups around beautiful Connemara, the unique Burren, and the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher. I look forward to showing you my Galway, and the amazing Burren and Cliffs of Moher.
